Information to help your business benefit from telecommunications

How Secure is Your Number?

You may well have experienced it. That sinking feeling when you suddenly realise that you've lost your mobile phone. It's gone. Suddenly you're cut off, you're unreachable.

Phone will ball and chain

Now imagine that for whatever reason it takes you days, even weeks to replace it. How would that feel? How would people contact you? How could they call you? How long would they continue to try and call you before they gave up and called someone else instead? Ridiculous? Maybe but now let's apply the same principle to your business, and let's say you lose your ‘phone number, the one everyone knows you by and has listed in their systems. How would customers call you? How long would they keep trying?

In much the same way that our personal names give us our identity, it's a business's ‘phone number that helps to make each unique it's why recognisable numbers are so desirable.

So, how would you cope if you lost your business number?

You may not think it could happen, but if you're in a serviced office it‘s a distinct possibility, because what you might well find when you decide to move out is that the number you've been using actually belongs to your landlord, not to you. And what will you do then? All that marketing, advertising and promotion work, website and stationery you've spent on, plus any trade directories and other listings all having to be changed.

What's our advice? Plan ahead. If you're not completely sure about who owns your number, find out. If it's not yours then you may want to contact us at TP Telecom to find out how we can help you.
You can contact us on our very own number, 033 33 58 33 33.
