On The Road Again

New year, new direction! Many reading this will still remember a time when if we worked for a company we went to the office and we had our own desk. We may have gone out from the office for the day, or even been away for a couple of days visiting clients far and wide, but ultimately we all ended up back in the office, sitting at our desks, filling in whatever paperwork the job called for.

And then it changed. Something called the digital revolution happened, and
that, in the widest meaning of the phrase, swept away the need for us to visit the office to do the paperwork. It wasn’t immediate by any means, but, over time, the digital revolution has made us all, if we choose to be, fully mobile.

So, what’s next? Well, here’s something for any business with staff on the road to consider. If members of your team are mobile to the point that their car or van has become their office, do they really need a laptop any more?  After all, what is it that a laptop does that can’t be done on a smartphone? Ultimately the mobile office’s greatest need is for a reliable broadband connection that allows access to emails and messages – and the ability to respond to them, wherever you are, whenever you want to…and your laptop won’t do that. What’s more, with the availability of increasingly clever apps that allow you to do everything you’d do at your desk from wherever you happen to be, make the need to actually be present in the office redundant.

Why are we telling you all this? Because we can help. If you have a team on the road Team Partners Telecommunications can supply mobile phones and broadband connections that will enable your people to run your business and be in touch with the office on the road, in a departure lounge or when on a building site in the middle of no-where; and we can also supply mobile enabled tablets if you feel that bigger is better. Why not give us a ring and see what we can do for you?
